Messages: What's the difference between Ariens and Gravely products? Is there a difference between the quality of materials, design, or manufacturing? For example, is there a significant difference between an Areins zoom 50 and a Gravely zt50? I've been running the heck out of my new Gravely zt 34 since the beginning of the season.A little side by side of the gravely and raptor
The only problem I've had so far was that the wire harness connected to the pto switch worked itself loose. Other than that I have no complaints about it's quality. I want to upgrade to a 50" deck next season with limited fundsand it seems like a no brainer to get the Ariens if there is basically no difference between the machines. By difference I'm talking quality, design, etc Thanks in advance for any comments.
Joe MidwestJun 17, Messages: 14, There is no comparing the Ariens to the Gravely. They are 2 completely different mowers with the Ariens being a lighter duty mower by far. As an example the Ariens uses a 12 ga. The Gravely ZT uses a 10 ga.
There are many reasons the Gravely costs a lot more money. Richard MartinJun 17, I agree with Richard. My Gravely dealer at one time also sold Ariens. Now Ariens is in the Home Depot. Many companys are doing that. Messages: 4, Ariens builds many of the Gravely and Ariens machines in the same factory. The Ariens machines are designed and built for typical homeowner use. The Gravely machines are designed and built for commercial type use.

Outdoor Board. What is this boards opinion of the zero turn Ariens Ikon X series? I have about I realized they were made by the same company and compared the available specs. What is the overall opinion or experience of the Arien Ikon X 52 for what I need it to do? Replies 2. Options Top.
Ariens is made by Gravely. Difference is the paint and name if you stay within the same lines. Ariens is the residential line used in big boxes or Ace distribution stores while Gravely is the dealer. Gravely makes residential line and with dealer incentives you can get the tit for tat Gravely for less money. Ariens is residential Gravely you are comparing it to is a prosumer unit.
Has faster transmission and step up from Ariens in big box. Any companies prosumer line will beat their residential line and last longer. For what you need depending on price versus quality the residential gravely or Ariens will do the job. Thank you for the write up. Also, is the prosumer and faster transmission really necessary for the minutes I would use it per week?
Do you recommend another brand I should check out before pulling the trigger? I almost pulled the trigger on a Hustler Raptor but it had a stamped deck and Kohler engine at the same price as the Gravely with the fabricated deck and Kawasaki. I guess a better question is how would you rank Kohler vs Kawasaki vs Briggs?Log in or Sign up. Sign up now! Site Upgrade Planned for Next Week!

Gravely has a 21 horsepower versus the Arians with a 19 horsepower both have a Kohler engine. Rock BarrasMar 25, PS the two models are competitively priced one is sold at Home Depot the Aryans andthe Gravely is sold through dealers. The dealers have the best financing programs. Messages: 6, MowDaddyMar 26, Messages: 1. I assume they are made on the same assembly line; however, when questioning who made them, the internet indicates the Ariens is made by Husqvarna.
Regardless, I did considerable research; and, for a residential mower, Both are as tough as they come, and blows away the 54" Cub RTZ I just sold. The frame and 11 gauge fabricated deck alone move these "residential" beasts into the "commercial" arena albeit not completely at a ridiculous price.
BTW, Lowe's had two of these Ariens through a fluke, and offered the full military discount. Something Home Depot, who normally stocks them, would not.

Below that list, I discuss the more popular brands and why buying a certain brand may be the best choice for you.
As always, if you have any questions please ask them in the comment section at the end of this article. There are over different Zero-Turn Mowers available for your residential lawn. Of those there are actually quite a few good zero-turn mowers on the market right now.

The models I list here cut great, bag well and have great parts and service networks. By Paul Sikkema.

But the biggest problem is to find one that works. The cheap ones are also flimsy and the spouts break after the first year. I have both brands and I use them all the time. A good size for snow blowers and push mowers.
A good size for lawn tractors and zero-turns. If you have a problem holding a gas can the SureCan is a great can. Fuel Stabilizer: When I go to the gas station and buy fuel I always put fuel stabilizer in the storage tank. It helps keep the fuel fresh and some stabilizers also clean your carb and fuel system without messing it up.
I use 2 tablespoons per gallon of fuel. I also recommend K Other fuels stabilizers to check out: Fuel Stabilizers. Have I helped you? Are the people friendly and knowledgeable? Do they have a neat wwell equipped service area and a well stocked parts room? Or would you wait two days while they order a belt or oil filter? As far as engines go, the one in your list I would pass on is the Chinese built Kohler Courage. This was a fantastic trip - probably the best in natural beauty I've ever taken.
Someday, I hope to return, and I will use Nordic Visitor as my choice of travel planner. We cannot wait to return to Iceland and look forward to booking future holidays with Nordic visitor.
What was excellent in this case was that we had to do very little ourselves and it was all so well organised and arranged by Alexandra. We wanted to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary by booking an " Iceland Complete " self drive tour of the island and spent many months planning our trip with Nordic Visitor. The young lady at NV was so helpful and friendly and arranged the most wonderful holiday - comfortable hotels or guesthouses in spectacular positions and only a few hours driving each day.
Nothing was too much trouble and she made it all so easy. NV were so professional with the mapsdetailed itinerarycell phone and lots of helpful advice. It ranks as one of the best holidays we have ever had ,arranged by quite the best travel company we have ever used.
We fell in love with Iceland - we have been lucky to travel all over the world and Iceland and our golden holiday will live in our memories for ever. We booked this trip through Nordic Visitor and were very happy we did.
Ariens/Gravely-What's the difference?
They arranged everything nicely and we had very good time in Iceland. We got to see a lot of Iceland by the Super Jeep excursions. Also we were flown to Akureyri in North of Iceland to see the Northern Lights. Was by far the best organised trip we have been on, Iceland is such a beautiful place, and Nordic Visitor made it all so easy and pointed out all the best places to see.
Our Contact Erla was excellent, very helpful. Loved the champagne and chocolates on arrival at first hotel, a really lovely touch. We have fallen in love with Iceland. It was reassuring to know that help, if needed, was available from the very friendly Nordic Visitor office.
The mobile phone which was provided was a nice touch. No Zeke Elliott means more passing attempts for Dak. That could be good, or it could be bad.
Make no mistake about it, Prescott was impressive as a rookie. But a much tougher schedule and no Zeke to help alleviate pressure opens up the possibility of more errors in judgement for the second-year signal caller. A lot will have to go right for Dak to enter the MVP conversation. DJ will need to rush for over 2000 yards and score 18 touchdowns to have a legit shot. And the Cards will have to make the playoffs. Could all that happen. Like Winston, Mariota passes the eyeball test. Any run the Titans might make in 2017 will be due to his superb play.
Because quarterbacks dominate MVP races, he should not be overlooked. Newton was not good in 2016. And look at this price. Way back in the year 2000 a sophomore Eagles quarterback named Donovan McNabb finished second in MVP voting.
Could history repeat itself in 2017. Toss a C-note down and become legend. Not since Lawrence Taylor in 1986 has a defensive player seized the MVP. JJ Watt and Von Miller have been in the conversation in recent years. Perhaps this is the year a stud pass rusher crashes the QB party. Mack is an absolute monster and definitely worth a flier.
Probably somewhere in between. It will be interesting to see how the Panthers utilize their dual-threat rookie. Will Cam stop running and check-down more. How will the carries be split between McCaffery and Jonathan Stewart. The kid looked good in the preseason, but he was far from spectacular. Cook is a more dynamic playmaker than McCaffery, and his role at this point is more certain.
The opportunities will be there for the ex-Seminole to make an immediate impact on an offense lacking impact players. When Blake Bortles and Chad Henne are the quarterbacks, running the ball should be a priority.
But these are the Jags. Trusting them to do the smart thing is risky. His upright style results in a lot of hits and that leads to nagging injuries. Watson has ability, but as long as Tom Savage is ahead of him on the depth chart, the former Clemson Tiger should be avoided.
Hue Jackson deserves credit for biting the bullet and naming Kizer the Week 1 starter.
The question is does Kizer possess the maturity to handle the job. Cleveland has zero to lose by leaving him in there to work through growing pains. Maybe he steals the starting job by the end of September. Or maybe he remains stuck in a committee all season.
